We’re working with a well-established social housing provider who are looking to appoint a Damp & Mould Surveyor to support their team on a temporary basis in Oxford. This role will focus on the inspection, diagnosis and resolution of damp, mould and disrepair issues across occupied homes.
This Damp & Mould Surveyor role is offering:
£300 per day.
Initial 3-month contract with potential for extension.
Full-time working hours.
Oxford and surrounding areas.
Opportunity to support a high-priority service area within social housing.
Key duties of the successful Damp & Mould Surveyor:
Carrying out property inspections relating to damp, mould and condensation.
Identifying root causes using appropriate building pathology and testing methods.
Producing clear reports, schedules of works and remedial specifications.
Supporting disrepair cases and complaint investigations
Liaising with contractors to ensure remedial works are completed to standard and within agreed timescales.
Providing clear technical advice to internal teams and residents.
Skills and experience required for the Damp & Mould Surveyor position:
Proven experience inspecting and diagnosing damp, mould and building defects.
Good understanding of building pathology and remedial solutions.
Ability to prepare clear, concise technical reports.
Experience working within social housing or a similar environment.
Strong communication skills and a resident-focused approach.
Requirements:
Relevant surveying, building or construction background or equivalent experience.
Previous experience working on disrepair-focused cases.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
