Reactive Surveyor

We're working with a highly respected housing provider who are looking for a Reactive Surveyor to join their team. This temporary position is for an initial 3-month contract, offering hybrid working with travel across the South Wales area to respond to day-to-day repairs and void inspections.

This Reactive Surveyor role is offering:

• 30 days annual leave equivalent (accrued).
• Weekly pay at £30-£35 per hour.
• Hybrid working across office and patch.

Key duties of the successful Reactive Surveyor:

• Inspecting reactive repair issues and assessing void properties.
• Completing safety-related checks in line with relevant housing standards.
• Monitoring building components and the quality of maintenance work.
• Preparing schedules and technical information for required works.
• Supporting the delivery of repairs by liaising with contractors.
• Reviewing workmanship and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
• Providing clear updates to residents and internal teams.

Skills needed for the Surveyor position:

• Strong IT abilities and confidence using inspection or data-capture software.
• Ability to prepare accurate technical information.
• Organisational skills suited to a fast-paced reactive environment.
• A proactive approach to problem solving.
• Practical knowledge of buildings, components and safety requirements.

Qualifications needed for the Surveyor role:

• Trade, building or property-related qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience carrying out property inspections.
• Experience working with residents, contractors or similar stakeholders.
