I am looking for an Assistant Director of Repairs & Maintenance to join a large Social Housing provider in Central London. The Assistant Director of Repairs & Maintenance will be responsible for the strategic management of the repairs service and management of the DLO and external contractors. This is an office based position.
Assistant Director of Repairs & Maintenance responsibilities:
Work with Heads of Service to prepare specifications for the procurement of contracts.
Strategic planning and development of the services, including developing new procedures and policies.
Report on performance indicators for each compliance work stream, ensuring effective pre, in-process and post completion checks are conducted.
Financial management of budgets, supporting the preparation of annual and 30-year business plans.
Prepare and present reports on operational areas of responsibility
Identify areas for service improvement through effective record keeping and monitoring systems.
Ensure that statutory compliance contracts are managed efficiently
What is required for the role:
Relevant degree or professional qualifications
experience in leadership at a senior management level
Proven record of successful change management, delivering new work policies and practices alongside cultural and structural change
up to date knowledge and understanding of legislative and regulatory framework in the areas of responsibility
Social housing experience
