A housing association in the West Midlands is looking for a Housing Officer to join their growing team. This housing association is quite a small organisation with a supportive team and relaxed environment that offers training and easy communication throughout.
The Housing Officer Role The role provides responsibilities that cover a wide reach across the business and will be a critical position to coordinate and oversee key property & tenancy management activities. This is a chance to join company making a genuine social impact to the housing security of hundreds of families. Within the wider group we also operate a poverty relief charity and a company focused on delivery of new build affordable housing developments and conversions.
Main duties and responsibilities as a Housing Officer:
Debt collection on tenants' accounts
ASB- around 3 cases a week (with court representation)
Serving Section 8 and 21 notices
Ensuring properties are of a lettable standard
General housing officer duties
To be successful as a Housing Officer you need:
Previous/current experience as a Housing Officer
HHSRS / CIH Qualified
Understanding of legal processes of AST
Flexible - Out of hours emergency resident support on a rota basis
