HR Manager

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our team in Birmingham city centre. This newly created role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and lead our HR function, driving our people strategy and fostering a culture where employees thrive.

As we expand from 50 to 120 employees by 2028, we need a dedicated HR professional to support our growth and ensure we remain a people-focused organisation.

Key responsibilities of the HR Manager role:

This role will oversee and drive initiatives in four key areas:

HR Management

• Develop and implement our HR strategy to align with business goals
• Continuously review and improve HR policies, ensuring compliance and efficiency
• Provide expert advice on HR-related matters to senior management

Employee relations & engagement

• Champion a people-first culture, ensuring high levels of engagement and wellbeing
• Act as the first point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support
• Support diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives across the business

Absence & performance management

• Implement performance management frameworks to support managers and teams
• Develop strategies to address absence management and employee wellbeing

Strategic HR projects

• Lead accreditation projects, including Investors in People, ISO9001, and B-Corp
• Drive HR transformation initiatives to support the company's continued growth

What we're looking for:

• CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification (or equivalent experience)
• Mental Health Practitioner certification (or experience in a similar field)
• A proactive and people-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
• Experience in HR strategy, performance management, and employee engagement
