Swindon 23 - 23 per hour Contract

Carpenter role covering Swindon, paying £23 per hour + company van and fuel, with the opportunity to go permanent after 16 weeks on a salary of £36,000–£38,000.
This is a fast-paced reactive repairs role working across occupied social housing properties as part of a response team. You'll need to have strong carpentry experience and be confident carrying out a variety of associated multi-trade repairs, managing a busy workload and dealing professionally with residents.

I'd love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Carpenter, Maintenance Carpenter or Multi-Trade Operative.

As a Carpenter, you will be:

Completing reactive carpentry repairs across occupied social housing properties.
Carrying out everything from door repairs and replacements through to more extensive carpentry works.
Undertaking associated multi-trade repairs as part of the response team.
Working across housing association properties.
Managing a fast-paced workload and responding to changing priorities.
Working professionally with tenants and minimising disruption.
Completing jobs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
Completing relevant job sheets and paperwork.

I'd love to speak to anyone who has:

Strong carpentry experience.
Previous experience working as a Carpenter in reactive repairs or maintenance.
Social housing experience is preferred, although similar domestic maintenance experience will be considered.
Experience working in occupied properties.
A background in reactive repairs and maintenance.
Experience carrying out associated multi-trade repairs.
The ability to work quickly and independently.
A professional and customer-focused approach.
A full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
A DBS – if you don't currently have one, this can be arranged.
Availability to start quickly.

The role is offering:

£23 per hour
Company van + fuel
40 hours per week
Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm with 1-hour break
No standard overtime or call-out requirement
Temp-to-perm opportunity after 16 weeks
£36,000–£38,000 permanent salary
Long-term work across established housing association contracts

Location & travel
Based around Swindon, covering housing association properties across the surrounding area.
