Macclesfield 22 - 25 per hour Contract

We are looking for two Joiner / Multi-Trade operatives to work on social housing properties in Macclesfield, paying £21-23 per hour, with a company van available.

There are two separate positions available, one working on void properties and one carrying out repairs in occupied homes. Both roles are offered on a temporary basis initially, with the potential to go permanent.

As a Joiner / Multi-Trade, you will be:

For the voids role
Installing kitchens and bathrooms in empty properties
Carrying out associated works where you have the relevant skills
Completing basic first and second fix plumbing where experienced
Carrying out floor screeding where experienced
For the occupied repairs role
Carrying out general joinery repairs in tenants’ homes
Repairing and replacing internal doors
Repairing and replacing skirting boards
Repairing and replacing floorboards
Completing minor plumbing repairs such as changing taps and toilet cisterns where able

I’d love to speak to anyone who has:

Experience as a Joiner / Multi-Trade
For the voids position, experience installing kitchens and bathrooms
For the voids position, basic first and second fix plumbing skills would be an advantage
For the occupied repairs position, strong general joinery repair experience
For the occupied repairs position, minor plumbing experience would be an advantage but is not essential
The ability to work in either empty properties or occupied tenants’ homes, depending on the position
A willingness to start on a temporary basis with the potential to move into a permanent role

The Joiner / Multi-Trade role is offering the following:

£23 per hour
37 hours per week
Company van provided during the temporary period
Fuel card provided
Potential to go permanent
Relevant training can be provided
Working at height training is planned
The Joiner / Multi-Trade positions would suit someone with solid practical experience who is looking for ongoing work within social housing. If you specialise in kitchen and bathroom installations, the voids position could be a good fit. If your strength is general joinery repairs, the occupied repairs position would be more suitable.

Location & travel
The roles are based in Macclesfield and involve travelling to properties across the local area. A company van is provided for the Joiner / Multi-Trade role during the temporary period, along with a fuel card.
