Take on an initial 12–13-week contract as an Electrician in Edgbaston, Birmingham, earning £25–£26 per hour while carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a large university estate. There is also potential for the position to become permanent following the initial contract.
You’ll be working as part of an established estates team, maintaining buildings and electrical systems across the university. The work is predominantly maintenance focused, with occasional minor installation work where required.

As an Electrician, you will be: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) Completing reactive electrical repairs across the university Replacing and repairing light fittings and sockets Maintaining and fault-finding on underfloor busbar systems Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults Completing minor electrical installation work where required Supporting the wider university estates maintenance team
I’d love to speak to anyone who has: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Maintenance, Electrical Installation or equivalent 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Commercial electrical maintenance experience Experience completing PPMs, reactive repairs and fault-finding Experience working with lighting, sockets and busbar systems
