A leading housing provider is looking for a Decants Officer / Decants Assistant to join their team and support residents who need temporary accommodation due to major repairs or urgent property issues. This is a customer-focused role where you’ll be the key point of contact for residents, helping coordinate temporary moves, arranging accommodation, and ensuring residents are supported and kept informed throughout the process.
The Role:
Support residents through the decant process.
Arrange temporary/emergency accommodation.
Liaise with repairs teams and accommodation providers.
Provide updates and respond to resident enquiries.
Maintain accurate records and process documentation.
Manage sensitive conversations with empathy and professionalism.
We’re Looking For:
Experience in social housing, housing management, resident services, repairs or customer service.
Strong telephone and communication skills.
Confidence handling challenging conversations.
Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
Ability to learn systems quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
