This Floating Support Worker – Outreach Services position offers the chance to support refugees and individuals resettled through local and national refugee programmes across Nottinghamshire County Council Areas, helping them to develop independence, sustain accommodation, improve wellbeing, and successfully integrate into local communities. The role operates on a rolling contract, providing consistent and stable work. You'll be delivering person-centred, strengths-based floating support through regular home visits, appointments and multi-agency working, enabling clients to overcome barriers to independence while working within a trauma-informed framework. As a Floating Support Worker – Outreach Services, you will be:
Managing a caseload of refugees and resettled households, completing needs and risk assessments, and delivering person-centred support plans
Supporting clients with tenancy sustainment, housing management, budgeting, welfare benefits, employment, education and accessing essential services
Promoting health, wellbeing, community integration and independence through partnership working and regular home visits
Maintaining accurate case records, completing risk assessments, safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, and working with partner agencies
I'd love to speak to anyone who has:
Experience supporting vulnerable adults, refugees, asylum seekers or socially excluded groups in a support or resettlement setting
Knowledge of housing, welfare benefits, tenancy sustainment, safeguarding and trauma-informed approaches
Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills with the ability to build positive relationships
Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records in line with GDPR
Key requirements for this Floating Support Worker – Outreach Services role:
NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, Housing, Advice & Guidance, Community Development or equivalent experience
Clean Enhanced DBS
Willingness and ability to travel throughout Nottinghamshire
Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
This role is offering an hourly rate of **£19-20ph **. Travel & Location This role is based across Nottinghamshire County Council Areas, delivering outreach support within clients' homes and community settings.
