Law and Governance Officer
An established Local Authority in the West Midlands is immediately seeking a Law and Governance Officer to join the Legal and Governance team initially on a temporary contract for 3 months for an immediate start.
As a Law and Governance Officer, your key duties will be:
To prepare routine contracts on behalf of the Council
To support the Director of Law and Govrenance
Demonstrate experience of supporting/hearing grievances and disciplinaries.
Have experience of managing Legal and Governance services within the Local Government environment
Proven experience of being able to carry out investigations into Standards complaints, as well as lead on responding to Freedom of Information and Subject Access Requests.
Deal with high volume casework and complex matters under pressure
To assist with employment tribunal and disciplinary matters related to actions brought by tenants under Section 82 Environmental Protection Act 1990
The successful Law and Governance Officer will be immediately available and understand the need to communicate clearly with the ability to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact.
